In September 2026, MCIT and Google Cloud announced a five-year framework agreement to provide more than 50,000 training seats by 2030 through the Qatar Digital Academy, Qatar News Agency reported. The national initiative builds skills in AI, cloud computing and advanced digital technologies for the workforce, executive leaders and technical professionals.

Qatar's National Cyber Security Agency released guidelines for the secure usage of AI systems in February 2024, aimed at reducing the adverse impacts AI could generate. Their core elements cover security, privacy, ethics, individuals, processes, technology, risks, threats and challenges.
